In 2017 I started Redmoon Systems, an engineering consulting company based on my expertise in Aerospace Systems Engineering. One of our main initiatives is computer modeling and simulation on Earth-bound Space Debris.
Activities on this topic include a design effort for an automated remote observatory (ARO) that can be rapidly deployed in rural areas. The goal is to assist in the characterization of space debris.
It was determined that Redmoon’s proprietary ARO design meets the signal to noise ratio threshold established by James Shell in a well known paper written at the Air Force Research Labs in 2011.
